went to see the professional soccer Jeju team play. I forget the name... jeju fury maybe? They started taking off their shirts and throwing them to the crowd shortly after this. One of the people in our group actually caught a shirt.

I had a really tiring week this week. So I did a bit of stress eating facilitated by Mc Donalds. They deliver in South Korea! Amazing!!!! And it tasted amazing. I loved it. Made me quite ill but I ate a pumpkin pie, fries, and a big mac. yum yum yum.

I went to glass castle with my co workers. It is a park with a lot of glass work in it, blown glass and other kinds.

there weren't any tables or chairs in the class room on friday because they needed them to make a lounges for other teachers. I didn't say or do anything, just let the kids respond to the environment and this is what they chose to do. I love it.
this really sweet and very shy middle school boy gave me a seed on Wednesday. It was such a sweet and kind gesture, I really felt so happy. Those kids are so wonderful.
this was the bathroom tile at this duck place we went to. All I am going to say is that duck, while it tastes wonderfully amazing, possess fat that is impossible to chew. I almost died six or seven times that night.
this is my delightful kitchen flower, otherwise known as a rice cooker. In this picture it is cooking an african stew that was absolutely amazing. this was the first time since I have been here that I actually took the time to make something that I would have made at home adn I have got to say that I loved it, I really really loved it. It was so delicious and comforting. Here is the recipe: dice some onion, crunch some peanuts with sesame oil, cube some sweet potatos, slice some zuchini ( watch out for your finger) cut some chicken, crumble some rosemary and then pour in some beef stock and tomato sauce. cook it a bit and then eat!! So yummy!
then they dragged over this massive table to sit at. I love to watch them solve problems and such a creative way. Independently and as a group, responding to the situation with innovation and confidence. sigh, kids are the best.
art major, yes. master face painter, no. Why do I always end up as the face painter at events, when my skill in this area is sooooo non existent?
I thought that this was a really cool house. This was near an English festival that we had to participate in.
this is what it looks like when I do my laundry. I have to hang it all over my apt because I don't have a dryer. Luckily my apartment is roughly the size of a dryer so my clothes are none the wiser. My jeggings report having felt virtually no culture shock whatsoever.
this is peering into the doorway of my maintenance closet. I guess that is what it is called, it is basically, a tiny tiny room with windows and important electronic looking boxes and a radiator looking thing. Kind of like my entire basement back home comrpressed into a 3 foot square room.
close up of the laundry.

my reflection in the untrustworthy two way mirror bathroom.

pretty glass tangerine tree

this was my favorite part of the wholr trip. there were these beautiful bits of branches engraved in the glass.  and they were all stacked standing about a foot a part. so cool.
same thing from the front.
i was getting tired at this point.
and here as well
